Personal
I'm Melissa Gerritsen, I'm 28 years old, and I studied at the Eastern Kentucky University. I've graduated with a BA in Communication Studies with a minor in art and a MSc in Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Administration which I've received in May '16. I got this opportunity by acquiring a full scholarship, because of playing tennis and representing EKU.
Professional
Right now I'm working at Paragon Customer Communications as a senior customer implementation consultant. I started this job in 2016 through an IT Traineeship at Calco in the Netherlands. During college I worked as a consultant at the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity where students can come to and get help with their papers and presentations. After my undergrad internship in the summer of 2014 with Appvanced, a company that develops apps, I worked for another year as their communication specialist/copywriter. For my Graduate Internship I worked as the online marketing intern at the Club Med Academies. For both Appvanced and the Club Med Academies I kept their social media and websites up-to-date, and created marketing material in the form of brochures, flyers, and instruction manuals.
Passion
I am committed to helping and inspiring others. I value honesty and people I work with will see that I am determined to be successful in anything I do, but I'm also a teamplayer who wants to get the best out of others to reach a shared goal. I seek perseverance and enthusiasm, I believe I can create a positive environment and encourage change to foster innovation and personal development.
