Leadership Philosophy
I believe that leadership is very important in any organization. Without leaders, there would be no change. As a leader it is important to give the right example by being honest and inspire others by being enthusiastic. I want people I am leading to be able to develop themselves and grow as individuals by being helpful and encouraging. As a leader, I am committed to helping and inspiring others. I value honesty and people I work with will see that I am determined to be successful in anything I do. I seek perseverance and enthusiasm and through my leadership, I believe I can create a positive environment and encourage change to foster innovation and personal development. I want people to remember me as a helpful and honest individual, who wants to get the best out of others to reach a shared goal.

I believe that leaders should be honest, ethical and trustworthy, because they have to set the right example. They have to be creative and imaginative, to be able to come up with diverse solutions. Also they have to be happy and cheerful, so they are able to inspire their followers to ‘follow’ them without having to put effort into it. From the people I am leading I expect them to be honest as well, they have to become comfortable with me and be able to talk to me about any issues. Also if something is wrong, still try to put a smile on their faces, because emotions are infectious. People I am leading can expect me to be enthusiastic and cheerful, I always try to have a smile on my face, and I am always enthusiastic about everything I am involved in. I like helping people with anything, so by helping others and encouraging them I can accomplish independency. Also by being enthusiastic I can accomplish a positive environment.

My symbol is a lion. The lion is the symbol of my country: The Netherlands, and my zodiac sign: Leo. The lion, also called the King of the animals, stands for power, which is something leaders have, even if they don’t want it or admit it. It’s the symbol of the Netherlands and together with the motto: “Je maintiendrai” which means: “I will maintain.” Meaning that as a leader you maintain, support, defend, conserve, and persevere everything you do, you portray and stand for. Leo, my zodiac sign, stands for the characteristics: creative, ambitious, courageous, positive, enthusiastic, independent, and inspiring. They don’t like failure and will do anything to avoid issues and problems; and try to solve them before they will even arise. Many of the characteristics of a Leo are part of my values and leadership philosophy. Also I think it is very important as a leader to be able to solve problems fast, before they become time consuming or even irreversible.
